College Of Fisheries is one of the prestigious institute for education located at Ratnagiri. It was established in 1981. It is affiliated with Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyaapeeth, (former Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth) Ratnagiri. They are offering many facilities for students overall growth like fully Wi-fi campus, Laboratory, personality development classes, Swim Club etc. The College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri, a premier Fisheries Education and Research Institute was established in 1981 by Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyaapeeth,(former Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth) Ratnagiri, as the first fisheries college in the Konkan Region.

However, it is not that pleasing to learn that despite vast resources, our country’s in specific Maharashtra’s per capita fish consumption is merely half of the world per capita fish consumption.
